Mr. Dave Frederick will serve as the first principal at Frederick D. Thomas Middle School, and Mrs. Meghan Catts will be the first assistant principal of the building.

Frederick D. Thomas was the first African American administrator in the Cape Henlopen School District.
Construction Update
The Frederick D. Thomas Middle School is set for completion on June 30 and will open its doors to students for the first time on September 4. To see if your child will be attending the new middle school, please check out the DOE School Locator.

The 7th-grade students at Fred Thomas Middle School (FTMS) showcased their research, creativity, and critical thinking skills during a dynamic presentation on their Informational Research Lab curriculum.
