Course Description and Expectations:
Students in 6th grade dive into world geography. We will explore maps, environments, places, and regions. The curriculum will be based on the 6th grade Social Studies Standards.
Social Studies Standards ensure students:
- Address citizenship education within the context of political systems.
- Demonstrate how individuals and societies produce, allocate, distribute, and expend resources.
- Possess a knowledge of geography and an ability to apply a geographical perspective to life situations.
- Understand events and phenomena in terms of when they occur and how individuals/societies have changed and interacted over time.
